DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nROCA 100: Marking 100 Years of the Royal Observer Corps \nOctober 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Observer Corps. Join us to mark this historic occasion with ROCA 100 on Sunday 26 October.\nOperational in the UK between 29 October 1925 and 31 December 1995, the ROC was crucial to the air defence of Britain, not least during the Battle of Britain, volunteers – armed only with a tin helmet and binoculars – scanned the skies from vantage points to identify enemy aircraft.
