How many guests can the Battle of Britain Bunker accommodate?
We have several plans available to help make the most of the space. There is the option to move things around to create a dance floor after your meal or if you are having your ceremony with us too, the space can be transformed for your reception. It’s your choice! We have a maximum of 100 for ceremonies and 200 for celebrations and a range of plans to suit different numbers of guests.
Is the Battle of Britain Bunker licensed for Civil Ceremonies?
Yes, we have a licence for wedding ceremonies. There are four times available and this needs to be booked via the registrars at London Borough of Hillingdon
What happens if it rains?
If you have booked an outside area for your event, you will also need to book a suitable inside space in case of inclement weather.
Are Marques allowed to be set up in the outside space?
Potentially yes, though this will be on a case by case basis. Please speak with the booking team to arrange.
Does the Battle of Britain Bunker have its own kitchen?
We do not have a kitchen, but we do have an in-house caterer or you can use your own external caterer. We have space for outside catering.
Can I use my own Caterer?
Yes you can. We ask that catering companies provide us with proof of their Public Liability Insurance, Hygiene certification and Risk Assessments (dependant on the activities being undertaken) no later than a month before the hire period. We have an outdoor space for cooking and electric hot plates can be set up in the main hall and on the terrace. We allow BBQs in the grounds.
Can we have a Bar?
Yes we have a premises licence to sell alcohol. We will provide a copy of this to you to be displayed at your bar throughout the function. Our licence times are daily until 12am.
Does the Battle of Britain Bunker have a PA system?
Yes, we have speakers and a screen in the Auditorium and large meeting room. We also have a mobile speaker and mic.
Can we have live music?
Yes we allow live music:
Sunday to Thursday 11.00 to 23.00
Friday and Saturday 11.00 to 00.00
How early can my service providers access the site to set up?
We allow access for your booking from 9:00am but we can arrange earlier access if required at an hourly rate.
What is the maximum hire time?
We are open to the public until 16:30 daily but you can arrive and start setting up from 9am. Spaces such as the Auditorium and Large Meeting room can be closed off from the public. When hiring the exhibition area, the ceremony will take place at 16:00. We hire by the hour or you can book for the day from 10:00 – 23:00.
Do you need to meet our service providers?
Yes, we recommend that all contractors have a site visit and meet us to discuss their requirements.
Can I have candles in the Battle of Britain Bunker?
We allow a small candle for cakes.
Can I have fairy lights in the Battle of Britain Bunker?
Yes, LED Fairy Lights may be used to decorate the venue.
Can I decorate the space?
Yes, providing decorations are freestanding, or tabletop. We do not allow blue/white tac, pins or sticky tape.
Can I use confetti?
We allow bio-degradable confetti in the grounds only.
Do you provide tables and chairs?
We provide tables and chairs for your event but you will need to hire table and chair covers separately.
What time can my event go on until?
As we are a residential area, your event will need to finish at 12:00pm.
Can we use the Battle of Britain Bunker for our photographs?
The beauty of having your event at the Battle of Britain Bunker is that it is surrounded by the beautiful park area, providing a lovely backdrop for your photographs. Please be aware that all areas outside of the Battle of Britain Bunker are accessible to the public at all times.
Can we bring our Wedding Car into the site?
You can have 1 car directly outside of the Visitor Centre and 1 other catering vehicle.
Is there car parking for my guests?
There is a small car park within Battle of Britain Bunker, but we cannot reserve spaces. There is free parking on the surrounding roads.
Does the Battle of Britain Bunker have heating?
Yes, there is heating at the Battle of Britain Bunker.
When can we view the Battle of Britain Bunker and how do we book?
