Open House Festival: Generator House Open Day

Explore the Generator House at RAF Uxbridge’s Battle of Britain Bunker as part of Open House Festival 2026. 

Normally off‑limits to the public, it houses the original 1930s standby generator that powered the underground Operations Room coordinating RAF Fighter Command in WWII.  It offers a glimpse into wartime engineering, featuring preserved machinery, original fittings, and fascinating stories of the local wartime past.
